eth0

Hello

I was wondering where is the device eth0 located. I cannot find it in
the \dev directory. I would like to read to and write from my ethernet
card as if it were a character device (it is a character device), but I
cannot find it. Also, if I do read and write to eth0, do I have to do
all the arp stuff and ethernet header stuff?
