Phonology, morphology (clitics), phonetics, phonology/ morphology/ syntax interfaces, OT and constraint-based frameworks, historical linguistics, translation theory; clitic placement in South Slavic, Germanic, Bantu, Rhaeto-Romance, Finno-Ugric, French, Celtic.

Other Interests:
Irish history, the Silk Road, history of Buddhism, Catharism, Roman Catholicism, Zoroastrianism, American Indian culture, heraldry, tennis, soccer, Formula One, Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, Notre Dame football.
