SNEWS will be held at Rosenfeld Lecture Hall at Yale University. Rosenfeld Hall is located at the corner of Temple and Grove St, directly opposite the Linguistics Department, located at 370 Temple St. Please enter Rosenfeld Hall from the side (Temple St) entrance, as the main doors on Grove St. do not lead to the lecture hall. There are two options for parking, both close to the Linguistics Department:
p) free (Yale Lot 51 on Temple Street)
q) pay (Grove Street Parking Garage)
We do not recommend on-street parking, as the streets around Rosenfeld Hall are metered from 8am-7pm on Saturday, and parking police are quite healthy about patrolling the area.
Take Exit 3 (Trumbull St.) in New Haven. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the traffic light onto Orange St. Go two blocks and turn right (at the traffic light) onto Grove St. The entrance to Grove Street Parking Garage is on your right, just before the traffic light at Whitney Ave. (This is a pay garage. Directions to free parking in Yale Lot 51 follow below.)
To get to the Linguistics Department after parking at Grove Street Parking Garage, continue walking up Grove St. (with the traffic) to the next block, which is Temple St. The Linguistics Department is located on the northwest corner of this intersection at 370 Temple, Room 204.
Connect to IH-91 North in New Haven; take Exit 3 (Trumbull St) and follow directions above for IH-91.
Follow driving instructions from IH-91/95 to Grove St. Turn right onto Grove St., and take it two blocks to Temple St. Turn left on Temple St. and drive one block to Wall St. Almost immediately after passing Wall St. there is a gray Federal-style house on the right with a blue and white sign which reads: “Yale University — 320 Temple Street”. Alongside it is the entrance to Lot 51 (a right turn). If you reach Elm St. you have gone too far.
After parking, walk up Temple St (against the traffic) two blocks. This will be the intersection of Grove St. and Temple St. The Linguistics Department is on this corner, at 370 Temple, Room 204.
