Information for Speakers

Each speaker is expected to make a 20min presentation followed by a 10min discussion/question period. Speakers should present themselves to the session chair during the pre-session break.

Speakers who will be providing handouts should bring at least 60 handouts. We encourage speakers to come to the conference with handouts already printed; however, photocopy services are available off-campus in New Haven within walking distance of the conference site.

The following audio-visual equipment will be available in the auditorium:

  -  a microphone
  -  a data projector connected to a computer
  -  loudspeakers for presentation of audio material

The data projector will be connected to a laptop with the most recent versions of Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If you need additional software, please contact us in advance.

You can use our computer for your presentation - in fact we recommend it - just bring your presentation, preferably as a pdf-file with all fonts embedded, on a USB memory stick or a CD/DVD. If you wish to use your own laptop, you can connect it to the data projector; however, please keep in mind that any time spent on setup will reduce the time for your presentation. We also recommend that you bring a backup copy on a USB memory stick or CD in case setup problems arise.

Information for Poster Presenters

Posters may be of any size up to the maximum of 36 inches x 48 inches, or approximately 91 cm x 121 cm. You may choose to display your poster either way (portrait or landscape).

Each poster will be on an individual poster-board backing on an easel. Posters will be secured to the board using either tape or push-pins, both of which we will provide.
