Arriving by train

The New Haven train station is called Union Station. The train station is not within walking distance of area hotels or the conference if you have luggage; however, taxis are readily available at the front of the station, and fares to the conference or hotels should cost no more than $10.

Two trains stop in New Haven:
Amtrak (www.amtrak.com)   trains come from points north and south; a more expensive, nicer train

Metro North (www.mta.info)   only travels south to New York (Grand Central Station). This is a more affordable train with more frequent services.

Driving Directions

From I-91 (north or south):

 1.  Take exit 3 (Trumbull St.)
 2.  At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Orange St.
 3.  Go 2 blocks and turn right onto Grove St.
 4.  The entrance to Grove Street Parking Garage will be on your right

From I-95 (north or south):

 1.  Take exit 48 onto I-91.
 2.  Follow the directions for I-91 above.

From CT-15/The Merritt Parkway (north or south):

 1.  Take exit 54 (Toward I-95/Milford/US-1/New London/Providence)
 2.  Follow the connector to I-95
 3.  Merge onto I-95 North
 4.  Follow the directions for I-95 above

Once parked, walk down Grove St. with traffic to the next block, which is Temple St. Rosenfeld Hall is located on the northeast corner of this intersection.

Parking

On Saturday and Sunday, many Yale parking lots are free. On Friday, they are not available to visitors, so it is necessary to use non-Yale lots.

The closest non-Yale lots:

  -  Grove Street lot: on Grove St between Whitney and Orange.
  -  Temple Street lot: on Temple St with access from Crown and George.

The closest Yale lots:

  -  Lot 51: on Temple between Wall and Elm.
  -  Lots 23 and 45: on Whitney between Humphrey and Sachem.
