For better or for worse, the Liberal Party makes up one-sixth of the Yale Political Union. The Union, modeled like so much else on campus after similar structures at Oxford and Cambridge, brings together students from all areas of the political spectrum to meet and debate with prominent politicians, professors and pundits. Recent guests have included columnist and author Barbara Ehrenreich, NOW president Kim Gandy, game show host Ben Stein, author Laura Kipnis, and many others. This semester the president of the YPU is the Party of the Right's Silas Kulkarni.
