The executive board comprises five officers and the Liberal Party member who holds office in the Yale Political Union.
the chair: Kirstin Dunham e-mail
--> The chair takes ultimate responsibility for the planning and execution of all the semester's activities. She runs debates, organizes e-board meetings and serves as the representative of the party in the Yale Political Union. Kirstin is a junior in Pierson.
the vice-chair: Rob Millie e-mail
--> The vice-chair assumes any responsibilities for running the party that the chair is unable to complete alone. Traditionally, he is responsible for reserving rooms for debates and organizing the semesterly trip to New York. He is, of course, also the chair of vice and thus generally in charge of organizing Liberal Party social events. Rob is a junior in TD.
the chief whip: David Price e-mail
--> The chief whip keeps an accurate list of active party members and arranges introductory meetings between long-standing Libs and new participants. He is responsible for keeping party members informed about events in the party and in the Yale Political Union. David is a sophomore in Branford.
the community secretary: Bennett Lane e-mail
--> The community secretary serves as a liaison between the Liberal Party and other groups on campus and in New Haven. He is responsible for organizing joint debates, community service activities, and the sometimes-semesterly New Haven Forum. Bennett is a sophomore in Pierson
the President of the JBB Forum: Brittney Hunt e-mail
--> The president of the Jonathan Brewster Bingham Forum sponsors intriguing dinner guests each semester in several forum events. He supervises all arrangements for JBB dinners, including the hosting of them. Brittney is a junior in Pierson.
the secretary/treasurer: Rob Kerth e-mail
--> The secretary advertises Lib events, writes the whip sheet the fiLibuster, and maintains this website.
the treasurer of the YPU: Andrew Krause e-mail
--> This semester's PU treasurer is also a lib. The treasurer is responsible for handling the YPU accounts,
dues, and disbursements. Andy is a sophomore in Silliman.
the Floor Leader of the Left: Meredith Startz e-mail
--> This semester's Floor Leader of the Left for the YPU is a Lib. She organizes and dockets speakers for the YPU among three parties, including the Libs. Be sure to be in touch if you think you might want to speak at an upcoming PU debate. Meredith is a junior in Branford.
