The Lib Schtick, Take Two

All right, guys, there have been some scheduling changes for this week.  As follows:

Tuesday, October 5, 8 pm

Lib Debate, TD Common Room

Resolved: Capitalism oppresses the Third World.

Note that we've moved the debate up a day, and it will take place half an hour later than usual.  We'll try to end by 9 so that people can catch the VP debate if they so choose.  As this debate will be short as it is, we'll be starting on real time, not Yale time (i.e. at 8 and not 5-15 minutes after the hour).

Wednesday, October 6, 8 pm

Ralph Nader

Battell Chapel

I don't know who's sponsoring him or what he's speaking about.  The engagement is mysteriously absent from both his scheduled events on his website and the Yale Events Calendar.  D-Holla and YSEC e-mails haven't mentioned it.  Still, Old Campus is postered with the announcements, and if you don't mind donating $5 to the Nader campaign (the admission fee for students), you might want to attend out of sheer curiosity.

Reminder: YPU tonight, 7:30, SSS 114

Resolved: Yale should do more for its workers.

Guest: Bob Proto, president of Local 35

See you guys soon,

Jade
