Francesco I have to write about myself. I will just list things that make me happy, and that will probably give you a good idea of who I am. If you kick a ball at me, I will probably try to juggle it, and be happy. If you play Joaquin Sabina or Andres Calamaro during a party, I will probably be happy. If you come tutor with me at John. C. Daniels for TIES en Espanol, I will probably be happy, (and so will the kids) I study Economics and Political Science at Yale, class of 2010 from Lima, Peru. My academic interests are related to Political Economy and targeting mechanisms, especially conditional cash transfers. My biggest passion is eating. Peruvian food is at the top of the list, followed closely by Japanese and Italian. I think French cuisine is bad food with a lot of sauce to cover it. |

Isabel Hey! I'm Isabel, I'm from Ecuador and no, Peru hasn't conquered us yet. I take notes at the LASO meetings and I get excited when we play reggaeton at our parties. Other than that I have no idea what to do with my life so, if all else fails, there is always secretaryship, let no one say that LASO doesn't prepare you for the future! |

David David hails from Lima, Peru. He is a sophomore in Morse and an Economics major. He has performed research on monkeys as a member of the Comparative Cognition Laboratory at Yale, and he is currently a Research Assistant at the Consumer Decision Making Lab. David studied Japanese for a summer in Japan, where he discovered that Japan has some of the best food in the world, second only to Peruvian food of course. |

Carolina Carolina Cooper is a sophomore in Ezra Stiles College from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. She prouds herself for speaking flawless spanish (and for being so humble about it), although no one quite understands why she has an Argentinean accent. In addition to being the Brazilian ambassador and lusophone defender in LASO, she is also extremely interested in latin american politics. During the summer after her freshmen year, Carolina spent a month in Venezuela and a month in Bolivia researching political opposition movements. Mention "Chavez" and she might actually drag you to the closest coffee place, sit you down (she can be quite forceful...) and discuss the issue for the next 3 hours or so. |

Alfredo Alfredo is a sophomore in Morse who likes to play football and throw good parties. As Social Chair he is here to make sure that all the LASitOs are having some fun, through parties, tailgates, or the weekly cenas. But he's not even from Latin America! He's from Spain! This infiltrated conquistador is here to put some order in this Latin American diaspora at Yale. Joder. Tio. |

Lucia Fueled by the lack of organization in LASO during her freshman year she decided, together with some friends, to apply for a position on the LASO board. She currently serves as the Marketing and Public Relations chair. Lucía loves spreading the knowledge of LASO through crazy social events that a are fun for a wide range of partying styles. She also works hard to keep the LASO members informed of the different opportunities on campus available for them. Be sure to join us for our weekly LASO dinners every thursday in the Branford Fellows lounge. |
