Michael Hardt is Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Duke University. He is the author of Gilles Deleuze: An Apprenticeship in Philosophy (1993), and with Antonio Negri, of Multitude: War and Democracy in the Age of Empire (2004), Empire (2000), and Labor of Dionysus: A Critique of the State-Form (1994). He has also edited with Kathi Weeks, The Jameson Reader (2000), and with Paolo Virno, Radical Thought in Italy (1996).
