Research:

We are studying the regulatory mechanisms involved in cell differentiation, asymmetric cell division, and the coupling between morphogenesis and the cell cycle in the dimorphic bacterium Caulobacter crescentus. A second major area of study is the cytoskeleton that supports the shape of this organism.
