ITS Web Services has been designing and producing Web-based training since 1997. Before that, as the Yale Center for Advanced Instructional Media, we pioneered digital multimedia for education and learning, and produced over 30 CD-ROM and videodisc publications. Our educational productions have won over 30 national awards for design excellence. Our combination of expertise in instructional design for on-line courses, interface and graphic design, audiovisual production, and database systems development enables us to provide our clients with comprehensive and integrated training and survey solutions. Train multiple audiencesThe ITS Web Services Web Based Training System (WBT) supports the creation of custom interface designs, allowing us to produce a look and feel for a training series that is unique to the sponsoring Yale University department. The ITS Web Services WBT System supports multiple learner paths per course, and customized reporting for compliance data management and quiz results. A comprehensive training solutionOur WBT training system can also support a comprehensive training or survey management to Yale audiences or learners outside of the University. Our system supports all aspects of course content management, course administration, e-commerce, student grading and evaluation, and course databases. We can support multiple media types: text, images, video, and animation. Training courses may be extended over multiple sessions. Our system tracks where the student left off in order to continue at a later time without losing or repeating any steps. Students can be pre-registered in the system from your databases, or may self-register. Our systems are fully integrated with Yale CAS identity authentication, and can export an individual’s training data to Yale’s Training Management System (TMS). Our WBT system also supports credit card or Yale charging instructions for if you would like to charge fees for your courses. Features of the ITS Web Services WBT system include:
Production costs and servicesProduction costs vary depending on the length and complexity of the program. Factors that affect the budget include the amount of instructional design and editorial services provided by the ITS Web Services, course length, audiovisual media production, complexity of the page layouts, the number of original diagrams or illustrations, the number of photographs or images that need to be modified and optimized, and the amount of custom programming necessary to accommodate requirements not included in the system.
