Your M3900 Series Meridian Digital Telephone provide easy access to a wide range of business features. Your system administrator assigns features to your telephone and provides you with passwords and other codes as required. This website describes the features available for your telephone and how to use them.

M3903
The M3903 has two Programmable Line/Feature keys (Self-labeled) with two features or lines configured on each key. The Shift Key allows you to access the second layer of the Programmable Line/Feature Keys.
It also has four Context Sensitive (Self-labeled) Soft keys.

Please Note
Even though your 3903 set may have a feature button labeled Directory/Log, this model does not have the directory feature.

M3904
The M3904 has six Programmable Line/Feature keys (Self-labeled) with two features or lines configured on each key. The Shift Key allows you to access the second layer of the Programmable Line/Feature Keys.
It also has four Context Sensitive (Self-labeled) Soft keys.

Please Note
Call Forward No Answer
and Hunt When Busy are now programmed by Telecommunications. Contact your Telecommunications Coordinator to request a change in your Call Forward No Answer or Hunt When Busy features. Your Telecommunications Coordinator will submit a Telephone Service Request to Telecommunications.

Use the Call Forward All feature to program your calls immediately to voice mail or to another telephone number when you cannot answer your calls for a specific period of time. See Call Forward All instructions.

Terminology

Fast Busy/Reorder
A busy signal twice as fast as a regular busy signal indicating a call cannot be completed. This occurs when the user misdials or tries to activate a feature not available on that telephone

Indicator Lamp
This is the light next to a directory number key or feature key on the service set.

Power Failure Telephone
The charcoal gray standard set which has access to an outside line to be used only for essential communications during a prolonged power failure. This set has a yellow sticker on the front base that states: This telephone will provide dial tone during a telephone system power failure.

Special Dial Tone
The standard dial tone with three short interruptions at the beginning. This is a confirmation that the system is ready to receive further instructions from the user.

Station Identifier
The alphanumeric characters located on the telephone set or jack.
