Pantheon lists (Panlists) have addresses of the form listname@panlists.yale.edu. They are easy to both use and manage, but do not have moderation features or the ability to customize details of the mailing list. Panlists are managed by an online interface called the Pantheon List Management Tool.

Access the Pantheon List Management Tool.

Select Request list creation.

Fill out the form completely. Note that the Desired list name field should only contain the listname, rather than the complete email address (e.g. yalies if you are requesting a mailing list at the address yalies@panlists.yale.edu. Hit Submit when you are finished.

If the list name is available and you have completely filled out the form, you will receive a message that your list request has been successfully requested. Once your request has been processed you will receive an email from listmaster@yale.edu.

Access the Pantheon List Management Tool.

Select a list under the Lists you own: section. Then select Request list deletion.

At the confirmation screen select Yes to request deletion.

Your list deletion request has now been requested. It will continue to show up in the Lists you own: until the request has been processed (1-2 business days). Once the list deletion request has been processed you will receive an email confirmation from listmaster@yale.edu.
All ownership changes take effect immediately. If you have any problems (such as accidental deletion of your list ownership privileges), contact listmaster@yale.edu.

Access the Pantheon List Management Tool.

Select a list under the Lists you own: section. Then select the appropriate button under Manage ownership of an existing Pantheon list.

Add, remove, or transfer owner then hit Submit.
Additional Notes:
- To add an owner or transfer ownership, you will need to know the NetID of the individual you would like to add. If you are unsure of their NetID, visit the Yale University Portal, and enter the individual's name in the Yale Search box, Directory tab. Select the individual you would like and expand the tab. Their NetID is listed next to netid.
- Transferring ownership of a list removes all current owners of a list and gives ownership to the invididual that you choose.

Access the the Pantheon List Management Tool.

To remove yourself from a public list, click the circle next to the name of the list of which you wish to be removed and then click on the Unsubscribe button.

If you do not see the name of the list you want to be unsubscribed from, it's a private list and you will need to enter the listname in the box labeled Listname:. Example: If the list email address is yalies@panlists.yale.edu, then the listname is yalies.
Note: If none of the above works for you, do not email the whole list. You will need to contact the list owner who can then remove you from the list. To contact the list owner, email: listname-owner@panlists.yale.edu where listname is the name of the list of which you want to be unsubscribed. Example: yalies-owner@panlists.yale.edu where yalies is the listname.
