Printing at a Computing Cluster
In order to print or copy, you will need to add funds to your RIS Print Account.
Printing to Multi-Function Printers
Multifuntion printers have built-in software and touchscreens to manage documents sent to them.- Print as you normally would, by Choosing File...Print. Select your desired printer from the list of available printers.
- Locate the printer you sent your document to.
- Log into the printer by either swiping your Yale ID Card, or using the touchscreen to type in your NetID and Password.
- (Optional) If your NetID is associated with any Departmental Charge Accounts, you will be prompted to select one. Select your desired account, or choose "Use Personal Acc't" to use your personal account.
- Your account balance will be shown on the screen, along with a list of documents sent to the printer. Select your desired document; you will be shown the number of pages and total cost to print the document. Verify your selection and choose Print.
- Your job should print, and the appropriate funds will be deducted from your account.

For Other Printers
Some cluster printers use separate printstations to manage documents sent to them.- Print as you normally would, by Choosing File...Print. Select your desired printer from the list of available printers.
- Identify your printer in the cluster.
- Locate the printstation associated with the printer you sent your document to. Printstations are labled to help you identify the proper one.
- Log into the printstation using your NetID and password.
- Your account balance will be shown on the screen, along with a list of documents sent to the printer. Select your desired document; you will be shown the number of pages and total cost to print the document. Verify your selection and choose 'Print'.
- Your job should print, and the appropriate funds will be deducted from your account.

- Select the job you want to print and then click on Print.
For your protection, when you are finished using the print station click on EXIT to logout. Otherwise, you will automatically be logged out after 30 seconds of idle time.
