YNHH VPN Client - Access to YNHH adminstrative systems
Users on the Yale University network must install and configure the YNHH VPN Client to access
YNHH administrative systems.
Direct access to Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) systems is restricted to computers directly connected to the YNHH network, or via YNHH VPN (IPsec is required). YNHH policy prohibits University employees from accessing the YNHH network through VPN on home computers. YNHH VPN is designed to give University networked machines access to YNHH networked applications. To prevent extra traffic from flowing through the hospital network the YNHH VPN client restricts access to the Internet outside the University. To connect to an Internet site outside the University you will need to disconnect from the VPN.
Obtaining authorization to use the YNHH VPN
If you are a YNHH employee connected to the University network, download and complete the YNHH remote access form and the YNHH Confidentiality and Responsibility Agreement, and send it to the address written in the instructions. For assistance in completing this form, call the YNHH MIS HELP DESK (688-4357).
If you are a Yale University employee, click here to send a YNHH VPN request (not Yale VPN) to ITS Accounts and Access.
MDLink - Access to YNHH clinical systems
IMPORTANT ISSUE: It has been determined that Internet Explorer 7 breaks the Synapse-MDLink Integration.
Do not install IE7 if you use MDLink to access images. If you already have IE7 installed, contact the Hospital Help Desk (688-HELP) for removal instructions.
Effective March 31, 2006 MDLINK will only be accessible from the password site. If you currently use a fingerprint reader as your password to access MDLINK please contact the YNHH Help Desk at 688-4357 and ask to have an MDLINK password conversion.
