This venue supports both 16mm and 35mm film screenings and features a 20 foot projection screen with Dolby stereo surround sound. A second theater that accommodates 50 guests is located at 212 York Street. This venue also supports 16mm and 35mm film screenings and features a fixed-frame film screen with Dolby digital surround sound capability. Study Center. Otherwise, faculty are expected to make their own arrangements for course-related screenings. For assistance, please contact Classroom Technologies at 203.432.2650.
Mobile laptop carts
The Instructional Technology Group currently supports the use of a mobile laptop cart at 140 Prospect Street, Room 102-A. To learn more about this pilot program, please contact Ed Kairiss, Director - Educational Technologies, at 203.432.6637.
Personal response system (clickers)
Through the use of handheld response devices (clickers), faculty can survey their students by asking them to vote on a topic or answer a question. The wireless response device communicates with the instructor’s laptop over radio frequency, and the responses are displayed almost immediately. Polling response systems promote student engagement and allow the faculty to gather information that can provide insight into the students' understanding and opinion. To learn more about this technology, please contact the Instructional Technology Group at itg@yale.edu
