The CMC showroom offers products and walk-in services to the Yale community, including students:
- The latest Apple and Dell hardware on display, including YAD
- NetID activations and password changes
- Expert advice on hardware and software questions
- Home computer repairs, upgrades and maintenance on hardware and software (payable by cash, check or credit card)
- University computer installation, repair, upgrades and maintenance on hardware and software (payable by PTAEO)
- Wireless configuration assistance for students
- Laptop, desktop and monitor rentals
- Print services - See us for all of your printing and copying needs in one convenient location
No appointment is necessary to drop off a device for service. Billable services are payable by departmental PTAEO or personal check and are billed in quarter hour increments at the current service technician hourly rate. There is a one week (5 business day) turn around time for all devices dropped off for service.
How to Find the CMC
The CMC is located on the "E" floor of Sterling Hall of Medicine (SHM), one floor below the main entrance to SHM on Cedar Street. From the SHM main entrance, take the stairwell to the right of the entrance rotunda down one floor. Exit the stairwell into the main corridor and turn right to enter the "I" wing corridor. About 15 yards from the stairwell you will pass the main Medical School stockroom. Continue past the stockroom, through a set of hallway doors, and make an immediate right turn into our corridor. The Computing and Media Center entrance is at room I-E90.
