Getting help in Microsoft Outlook
The help system in Microsoft Outlook is easy to use. It has a comprehensive list of topics and several ways to find what you’re looking for. Whenever you find yourself asking, “how do I do something in Outlook?” your first step should be to press the F1 key on your computer’s keyboard.
Note: The help system in Outlook 2003 is very similar to Outlook 2007.

While running Outlook 2007, press the F1 key on your computer’s keyboard to open the Outlook Help window:

The window is divided into three main areas, the tool bar, the search field, and the browse list. The tool bar, located across the top of the window, allows you to quickly perform many of the common tasks you’ll want to do while using help. Roll your mouse pointer over any of the tool bar buttons (without clicking the mouse) to reveal that button’s function.
The search field, located just below the tool bar, allows you to search the contents of the help system for any term you enter into this field. Enter a term and click the search button just to the right. A list of all help articles that contain your term will be listed in the main part of the window.
In the main part of the window is the Browse Outlook Help list. Using the list in the Browse Outlook Help pane is a lot like using the table of contents or the index of a book. Click any of the categories in the list to view a list of topics. Click the Show Table of Contents icon on the tool bar (hint: it’s the book) and the browse list will appear down the left side of the window and will remain open while you browse.
