Data Scanning Project update
To date, ITS has scanned over 2000 workstations across the campus, and over 70% of the workstation owners have remediated their data. Data scanning will continue, but ITS is providing a tool to enable end users to self-scan their devices.

Changes to Yale email and calendaring planned for 2008!
Yale's primary calendaring (Meeting Maker) and email infrastructures are in need of updating to ensure we have secure, reliable services with up-to-date functionality. ITS has been assessing the options for over a year, and has settled on a new email and calendaring infrastructure that will be implemented later this fiscal year.

Open Yale Courses
Open Yale Courses provides lectures and other materials from selected Yale College courses to the public free of charge via the Internet. The project presents unique access to the full content of a selection of college-level courses and makes them available in various formats, including downloadable and streaming video, audio only and searchable transcripts of each lecture. Syllabi, reading assignments, problem sets and other materials accompany the courses.

Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 is the latest version of the productivity suite for the Windows operating system. Last week, Office 2008 was released for the Macintosh platform. Stay tuned for information regarding Office 2008 as it becomes available for campus users. The following information pertains only to the Windows version. If you are on a Windows operating system, you may wish to consider the available support and services outlined in the following article if you are considering an upgrade.
