The Educational Technologies unit focuses on the resources needed by faculty and students to use technology in teaching and learning. They've launched a newsletter to highlight some of their exciting and innovative projects. The current issue examines how English Lecturer Barbara Stuart engaged her students in the political process by publishing their Election 2008 class blog. As we reported previously, Yale ITS, in an effort to increase campus information security, is implementing a new process for managing passwords at Yale. All those who use a NetID and password to access services on the web through the ITS Central Authentication Service (CAS) will be prompted to change their password automatically once per year. We expect to begin implementing this new process in January 2009, but not everyone will be asked to change their password at the same time. Read More »

If you suspect that your email client and server have gotten out of sync, login to YaleConnect webmail. The web client is a live version of your mailbox. If there are email or calendar items in your webmail that are not in your local client (Outlook or Entourage), you may want to contact your local support provider for remediation.
