Changes to Yale email and calendaring planned for later this year

Yale’s primary calendaring (i.e., Meeting Maker) and email infrastructures are in need of updating to ensure we have secure, reliable services with up-to-date functionality.  ITS has been assessing the options for over a year, and has settled on a new email and calendaring infrastructure that we will implement later this fiscal year.

ITS begins network wiring upgrade program

Yale’s data network, consisting of over 25,000 connections in almost all of the University’s 200 buildings, has been steadily growing since the first installations in 1990. As with all modern networks, the Yale Campus Network incorporates “Ethernet over Twisted Pair” technology that utilizes unshielded twisted pair wiring to connect workstations to the network.

Mobile data and safe computing
