Linux Systems Design & Support (LSDS)
Linux Systems Design & Support is responsible for the maintenance of technical workstations and servers in the support of teaching, learning, and research.
As a partner to the FAS IT Support Program, our support framework is flexible and designed to scale based on the diverse computing needs of the campus environment, with an emphasis on Linux and Unix. Our focus is on multi-user computing environments such as clusters and research labs. In the spring of 2004 we began a pilot project in high performance computing (HPC). This pilot project has expanded to include support for seven HPC clusters. We also provide support for departmental and institutional services on a contractual basis.
In addition to support documentation for faculty and researchers, this site contains a variety of information and software of use to the Linux community of users at Yale University.
