Academic Technologies promotes and develops the use of technology used in support of teaching, learning and research for Yale College, The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and Yale School of Medicine.
Our support specialists provide services that enable faculty and students to effectively collaborate and share information through the use of technologies. Examples of the services we provide include the development of blogs, wikis and web sites; the installation of audio-visual technology in learning spaces; professional graphic design and photographic services; support for the University’s primary learning management system, general-purpose and specialized computer labs; media equipment checkout for University events and student projects, and a film collection that is used in support of scholarship.
Academic Technologies resides within Information Technology Services (ITS) and works closely in partnership with the Yale College Dean’s Office, University Libraries, Office of Digital Assets & Infrastructure, Office of Education for Yale School of Medicine, Registrar for the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, Facilities and the Deputy Provost for Academic Resources.
During the summer of 2010, Phelps 207 was renovated with the goal of creating a space that supports a wide variety of teaching and learning styles. By selecting flexible and moveable furniture the room can now accommodate a variety of classroom configurations including; course lectures, seminar discussion and group work. More...
The Collaborative Learning Center, allows students and faculty to borrow digital media equipment through the Bass Library. More...
