Facilities Asset Management Information System (FAMIS)

• AutoCAD Interface Software used to integrate FAMIS data (such as Space Management data) with the Office of Facilities’ AutoCAD library of floor plans, allowing data to be graphically displayed, and allowing accurate square footage data to be incorporated into the FAMIS Space Management database.
• Inventory Control Software used to manage all aspects of inventory control, including purchasing, receiving, issuing, reordering and financing.
• Maintenance Management Developed to facilitate the planning, formulation and management of capital projects. The requirements for the Project Control System were developed during the Facilities Process Renewal, and were specified in the Program Manual for Capital Projects.
• Space Management Software used to manage space information about Yale-affiliated properties and buildings. The system contains summary (building-level) information about facilities on Central and Medical campuses, and contains detailed (room-level) information about Central Campus buildings.
• FAMIS Billing Developed to provide on-line bill backup for the summarized transactions that appear in the general ledger. Yale employees who have access to view detailed web financial statements are also authorized to use FAMIS Billing to view the detailed transactions that generated charges to their orgs.
• FAMIS Work Requests (FWR) Developed to allow the Yale community to view the status of maintenance activity in Yale buildings and to request maintenance services.
• Project Control System (PCS) Developed to facilitate the planning, formulation and management of capital construction projects. The requirements for the Project Control System were developed during the Facilities Process Renewal, and were specified in the Program Manual for Capital Projects.
• Utility Management System (UMS) Multi-layered computer system designed to process utility bills, allocate utility costs to various consumers within the Yale University community, and provide a database for analysis of utility consumption throughout the Yale University/ Yale New Haven Hospital community.
