Our name, Academic Media & Technology (AM&T), is descriptive of what our team is doing now and the new activities we expect to undertake with you in the future. Academic Systems Design & Support (ASD&S)

The Academic Systems Design & Support unit provides a diverse range of services in support of teaching and research and acts a liaison between faculty in the arts & sciences and other AM&T/ITS service units.  This group includes programmers, Linux/Unix systems administrators, and departmental technology consultants.  Staff provide support for individual faculty desktop and laptop computers, technical workstations, departmental and workgroup servers, high performance computing, library systems, and programming services for the institutional course management system classes2.yale.edu. Center for Media and Instructional Innovation (CMI2)

Created in 2000, The Yale Center for Media and Instructional Innovation (CMI2) develops leading-edge educational media and courseware for Yale faculty, and oversees the deployment of the university's web-based learning environment Classes*v2 as well as distance education projects such as "Yale Open Courses" Through central and medical campus studios the CMI2 also provides state-of-the-art broadcast, distribution and media production solutions to the Yale University community. Educational Technologies

The Educational Technologies unit focuses on the resources needed by faculty and students to use technology in teaching and learning. Our staff provide support for the hardware and software technologies that enhance curricular activities in and out of the classroom, and we continually explore new opportunities for pedagogical innovation. Our units offer on-one-one support as well as opportunities for classes and groups to interact with our professional and student staff. Media Services

Yale Media Services was initially founded in 1950 as the Audio-Visual Center.  A small number of professionals produced lantern and 35mm slides and coordinated projectionist support for film screenings.  Technology has changed a great deal since then, and today, Media Services provides a broader range of technology solutions in support of academic instruction and research.  Our support team includes classroom technology and media specialists, graphic designers, photographers, medical illustrators and systems programmers.  We support over 300 classrooms, digitize thousands of images per month, maintain hundreds of academic computers, and design numerous illustrations and presentation posters.
