Maria Clara Iglesias

Maria Clara Iglesias was born in Santa Fe, Argentina. After receiving her first B.A. in Fine Arts at the Escuela de Artes Visuales J. Mantovani, she moved to Spain where she graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid, obtaining a B.A. and M.A. in Italian Philology and specializing in Italian Literary Genres. Her main interests are Italian Medieval Literature, especially Dante studies, Italian-Spanish comparative literature and Religious studies.

Recipient of the Charles Hall Grandgent Award 2009 of the Dante Society of America for the best submission by a graduate student with an essay on Dante and the Virtue of Hope.
