Worship Conference 2008
In recent decades there has appeared to be a sharp divide between the liturgical traditions of the older classical and Reformation Churches on the one hand, and the worship of the newer Pentecostal and charismatic churches on the other. In this conference scholars and practitioners representing both sides of this apparent divide come together to explore the place and understanding of the Holy Spirit in their respective worship traditions.

Sacred Space Conference 2007
On October 25-26 the ISM presented the inaugral conference where scholars and architects interpreted the complex ways in which sacred space continues to captivate a changing world. The conference Keynote presentation was delivered by the Reverend Dr. Robert H. Schuller, founder of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA.

Hear an ISM Performance
The ISM Organ Faculty, Profs. Thomas Murray and Martin Jean are
active recitalists and recording artists. In addition to annual
recitals at Yale, they both tour extensively throughout the United
States and Europe. The organ recordings feature the Newberry Organ
in Yale's Woolsey Hall as well as the Baroque organ by Taylor &
Boody, Organbuilders in the West Gallery of St.Thomas Church, New
York City.
The choral pieces are taken from performances by the Yale Schola
Cantorum and the Yale Camerata. The Yale Camerata performed and recorded music of
the late Calvin Hampton, the noted organist, choral director and composer
at Calvary Episcopal Church (Manhattan) which was conducted by Marguerite
L. Brooks and guest conductor, Rodney V. Ayers (then a student at
the Institute of Sacred Music).
