Audition Dates 2008-2009
Yale Camerata | Yale Schola Cantorum | Yale Repertory & Recital Chorus
Admission is by annual audition, which focuses on sight-reading
and ensemble skills in addition to voice quality and technique.
Requirements include: Audition requirements include
demonstrating good sight-reading ability and the performance of
a short solo song or aria. Please bring two copies of the music to the audition. An accompanist will be provided.

YALE SCHOLA CANTORUM

Open to all Yale Students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional).
Yale Schola Cantorum is a 24-voice
touring and recording chamber choir that specializes in music before
1750 and from the last hundred years.
Rehearsals Mondays, 7:15-9:45pm and Wednesdays, 7:45-10:15pm (first
rehearsal, Sept 8).

YALE REPERTORY CHORUS and YALE RECITAL CHORUS
SING FOR CREDIT OR MONEY!
Open to all Yale students (undergrad, grad, and professional).
Repertory Chorus: Conducted by first-year conducting
students, the Repertory Chorus gives two performances a year during
regular rehearsal
time. Eclectic repertoire. Rehearsals Mondays, 4-6pm (first
rehearsal, Sept 8).
Recital Chorus: Conducted by second and third-year
conducting students. Six performances and six dress rehearsals in
addition to regular rehearsals. Rehearsals Thursdays, 4-6pm

YALE GLEE CLUB
Directed by Jeffrey Douma, the Yale Glee Club, Yale's oldest musical
organization and principal undergraduate chorus, is an 80-voice
ensemble of women and men performing a broad spectrum of great choral
music, from choral orchestral masterpieces to newly commissioned
works, and from world folk music to traditional Yale songs. One
of the most traveled choruses in the world, the Yale Glee Club has
performed in every major city in the United States and on six continents.
The Yale Glee Club will hold an organizational meeting on Wednesday,
September 6, from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. in room 201, Hendrie Hall. Auditions
will be held from September 6-10 with sign-up sheets posted outside
