Yale Schola Cantorum will begin the 2009-2010 season with a sung evening prayer in Marquand Chapel on Sunday, September 27 at 4 pm. The public is invited to attend.

The series of sung evening prayer services presented by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music will continue with a service by Saint Thomas Choir, John Scott, music director on Friday, October 2. Thomas Troeger will preach at the service, which will begin at 5:30 pm at Christ Church Episcopal (Broadway at Elm). The third service will take place Friday, December 11 at 5 pm when Simon Carrington will guest conduct Schola Cantorum in an English Magnificat and other works. Students in Margot Fassler's seminar in chant and liturgy will participate in the service, entitled Medieval Vespers, at St. Thomas More in New Haven (268 Park St.).
