free; no tickets required. Part of the Edward Elgar Festival at Yale.

In 1905, Yale bestowed an honorary doctorate on Elgar, one of England's greatest Edwardian composers. The New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Yale Center for British Art, Yale School of Music, Yale Glee Club, and the ISM are jointly sponsoring a series of events in honor of Elgar, celebrating the life and music of the great composer.

The performance by members of Yale Camerata (Marguerite L. Brooks, director) and Glee Club (Jeffrey Douma, director) will feature part-songs by Sir Edward Elgar, Amy Cheney Beach, Henry Cowell, and Charles Ives's "Circus Band," with Douglas Dickson and Erika Schroth, piano.

Soloists are Noah Horn, Tuesday Rupp, Caleb Bennetch, David Recca, Simon Jacobs, Arianne Abela, and Robert Strebendt.

A full event listing is on the festival website. The concert is jointly sponsored by the ISM and Yale Glee Club.
