ISA-SIC Plus: Funding for Yale-designated Study or Internship Programs Abroad

The ISA-SIC Plus provides eligible students who are admitted to one of the Yale-designated study or internship programs abroad with additional funding to help pay the program costs. The additional funding is equal to the student’s summer income contribution plus a percentage of the program costs.

Programs Eligible for ISA-SIC Plus Funding

The offices listed below administer programs eligible for the ISA-SIC Plus.

  • First, students apply to the designated programs through the administering office. Be attentive to the individual deadlines set by each office. Some are very early in the semester.
  • Second, once accepted into a designated program, students apply for the ISA-SIC Plus through the administering office.

Undergraduate Career Services designated International Internship programs provide nine weeks of work experience in cities around the world and in a variety of career fields.

Yale College Dean's Office

Through partnerships with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and other partner institutions, the Yale College Dean's Office offers students the opportunity to pursue scientific and other health-related research abroad.

The Yale Center for British Art administers a summer session program offering small classes that earn full Yale credits and focus on British history, architecture, art history, literature, and drama.

New! The International Association of Research Universities Global Summer Program is an exciting learning experience for undergraduate students at ten of the world’s leading research-intensive universities.

* Yale College students who receive an ISA and are accepted into a Summer Session Abroad course are not eligible to apply for a Yale Summer Session (YSS) tuition scholarship for that course in addition to the ISA. However, a student who received an ISA in a previous summer and is participating in a YSS program abroad is eligible to apply for a YSS tuition scholarship.
