Image finding: Mammogram, surgical scar

Surgical scar tissue is identified by its lengthy linear fibrotic tract extending to the skin surface and its relative directional property.

There should be no dominant mass or microcalcifications present, but the radiographic changes must be examined carefully since there should always be vigilance for recurrence of tumor in patients previously diagnosed.
