COMMENTS

Twenty-eight year-old female with a history of minimal shortness of breath. The most common parenchymal pattern of sarcoidosis is a reticulonodular configuration, correlating with the non-caseating granulomas noted at pathology. Slightly less common is alveolar pattern made up of diffuse, small, indistinct opacities due to the alveolar filling with mononuclear cells.
