Pneumococcal pneumonia, right upper lobe

Follow-up radiograph

The radiograph shows a density in the right upper lung field which possesses a sharp lower border which represents the upper boundary of the right middle lobe fissure. The lateral radiograph helps clearly define the identity of the affected lobe which in this case was caused by a pneumococcal pneumonia.
