Carcinoma, multiple pulmonary nodules

Zoom Notes

Lateral radiograph
Computed tomography
Follow-up radiograph

This radiograph shows multiple pulmonary nodules one of which is a cavitating mass. The infiltrate extends from the postero-apical region of the left lung to left lung base involving the left hilum and bibasilar atelectasis. On the lateral x-ray there are several lucent foci in the lower thoracic vertebrae representing either Schmorl's nodules or metastases. The soft tissue noted in the upper mediastinum represents a goiter.
