COMMENTS

Coronary arteries and the myocardial segments they supply viewed from the left lateral position. Note that the left anterior descending artery (LAD) generally supplies the left ventricular apex. The left circumflex (LCX) follows the atrioventricular groove and provides tributaries identified as obtuse marginals to supply the myocardium of the lateral left ventricular wall. The inferior left ventricular wall and the posteromedial papillary muscle are generally supplied by the right coronary artery through the posterior descending artery (PDA).
