Information Meeting: Dr. Kathy Slater of Operation Wallacea -- Field Experience and Research Opportunities for Undergrads
The conservation group Operation Wallacea is currently looking for university students to assist in biodiversity assessment and conservation management projects in Indonesia, Honduras, Peru, South Africa, Mozambique and Egypt. Operation Wallacea employ university academics from the US, UK and Canada to conduct research on the population dynamics and behavioral ecology of a range of herpetofauna, bird, bat, primate, mammal, fish, and invertebrate species in remote forest and marine habitats in the tropics. More information on the projects currently being run can be found on the organization's web site (see above).
If you are thinking of pursuing a career in ecology, biology, oceanography, or conservation management and would like to find out more about research opportunities with Operation Wallacea then don't miss this presentation.

Deadline for Spring 2008 applications for University College London
Yale students applying to UCL for the spring term must submit the complete UCL application, along with Yale’s Year or Term Abroad application, to IEFP by 12pm Noon.

Yale students applying for spring 2008 Year or Term Abroad must submit their completed application to IEFP by 12pm noon. Applications for LAMDA and DIS are also due today.
Information Meeting: Summer Institute for Hispanic Studies & Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain
Jeremy Medina, Director SIHS and Hamilton College in Madrid, and a panel of Yale students, will talk to students about the SIHS and academic year programs in Spain. The Summer Institute for Hispanic Studies is approved for ISA funding for Spanish language study; Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain is approved for semester/year study abroad. The John Thouron Prize for Summer Study at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Information Meeting
Students interested in applying for the Thouron should attend this meeting to learn about eligibility and the application process, as well as to hear about the program from the 2006 and 2007 Thouron Prize recipients. This year's Thouron Prize application deadline will be noon, Monday, December 3, 2007.

Information Meeting: Southeast Asia in Context, National University of Singapore Summer Study Program
This exciting and unique program will bring together students from Yale University, University of Copenhagen, and NUS in a special five-week course that will blend classroom lecture with field-study excursions to sites throughout Southeast Asia.
Program Highlights:
- Live and work side by side with students from NUS and the University of Copenhagen.
- Courses: Southeast Asian Studies in Context; History of Southeast Asia; Southeast Asia's Cultural Mosaic
- Explore Southeast Asia through a 10-day overseas field study.
- Visit such historically and culturally significant places as Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
