Eligibility

Any Yale undergraduate who will be a sophomore, junior or first-term senior while enrolled in the program and who is in good academic standing in Yale College is eligible to apply for one or two semesters. Seniors may enroll in the fall semester only if enrollment is consistent with making satisfactory progress in the senior project of the major during the term abroad. While no prior Chinese language study is required, the program is also open to students who have already begun Chinese language study. Up to twenty-four Yale students and twenty-four Yuanpei students will be selected for each semester.
