End of Program Reports
- Prior to blogging, Light Fellows posted end of program reports on our online Bulletin Board. Many Fellows opt for that option in addition to or instead of keeping a blog.
- TIPS: 1] Log On first to the Bulletin Board, return here, then the links below will take you directly to full versions of the reports highlighted below!
2] These reports are keyword searchable on the bulletin board, which is helpful if you are curious about 'homestay experiences,' etc.

Su Mon Han, Nanzan (Japan)
"My Japanese is improving at blinding speeds. Radio dramas that I couldn't make heads or tails of during my last semester of Japanese at Yale are now as clear as day to me. I can comprehend song lyrics the first time I hear a song. I can make sense of magazine articles without pulling out the dictionary. I can watch anime without subtitles!!"

Sandi Mnkandla, HBA (China)
"I really enjoyed my time away. It was hard work, but it was well worth it. I had an amazing cultural experience and as is expected, my Chinese has improved a lot. My attitude toward trying new things left much to be desired at first, but once I started to give things a try - mostly food - I started to have a lot more fun."

Hong Alyce Van, ICLP (Taiwan)
"The teachers here have years and some even decades of Chinese teaching experience. Unlike many of the language programs in Beijing, ICLP teachers see this as a lifelong career; hence they've invested their whole lives to the teaching of Chinese language and literature."

Mark Beyersdorf, Sogang (Korea)
"The Sogang methods are fantastic! Since there is a strong emphasis on speaking, our book contains lots of sample conversations, dialogues, etc. Unlike most language textbooks, the conversations and dialogues in these textbooks were actually very realistic, and I found myself using sentences out of dialogues from class in my everyday conversations. Most of the class would be spent practicing conversations or talking with our classmates on set topics."
