Introduction to the 2009 Competition

The IDEA Contest will be made up of several “theme” contests- so you can tailor your digital project and entry to be submitted for a specific award. There are currently 5 themes this year, but the IDEA Contest is looking to partner with new organizations across campus.

Each theme has its own award- and winners of the themes can be chosen for the First, Second and Third grand prizes. For a full list of prizes, please see our Prizes page.

The four categories are:

• Arts
• Business & Entrepreneurship
• Education
• General
• Sustainability

Contest submissions will begin January 1, 2009 and will have a deadline of January 30th. Be sure to take a look at last year’s winners and entrants for ideas and inspiration.

Team Entries

To enter as a team, please designate one representative of your team to submit your entry. In your entry essays, indicate the names of your teammates and their affiliation with Yale, and if you deem necessary, their designation in the team. For example, if you are submitting your online business, you may have already assigned CEO, CCO, CIO etc. to members of your team.
