Full-time teachers, and full-time and part-time co-teachers and teachers’ aide positions in all classrooms for Alphabet Academy starting late August/early September 2013
With our school’s expansion, we are seeking qualified, passionate individuals to fill teaching positions in our newest location, The Nest at Alphabet Academy, a Yale-affiliated childcare center. As some of our current teachers will be relocating to The Nest at Alphabet Academy, we are also accepting applications for our Hamden locations. Alphabet Academy is a family-centered and forward-thinking early learning center with a Reggio Emilia-based approach to childhood learning, activity, and play. Our teachers work together to proudly nurture curious and joyful children, provide kind and gentle attention, and foster engaging and creative classrooms.
Ideal candidates for a lead teacher position will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, and a desire to continue this education. Interesting applicants with other relevant education/experience can be considered for a full- or part-time assistant teacher position. Candidates must be passionate about young children and eager to encourage their growth and development, as well as celebrate individual potentials and achievements. Our teachers and staff also value relationships with children’s families, supporting them as they balance the demands of careers and family. Alphabet Academy is excited to mentor, learn from, and partner with like-minded professionals who have diverse backgrounds, experiences and learning styles.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Please send your cover letter, resumé, and three professional references to Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit us online at www.TheAlphabetAcademy.com.
