Applying for a Job at Yale University

  • Search for jobs in your area of interest through Yale’s web-based job-posting and recruitment system anytime at www.yale.edu/jobs.
  • To apply for a specific position, create a personal online account and supply an email address to receive electronic notifications. Visit Yahoo or Hotmail to set up a free email account if you do not have one.
  • Apply online from home or other computer:
    -Yale University libraries
    -Lobby of 155 Whitney Avenue
    -Local public libraries
  • Once your account is established, you can create, update and store multiple versions of your resume online in one secure place. You can update your resume and/or cover letter with the STARS Resume Manager feature.
  • You will receive an email confirming that you have successfully applied online.
  • Your application/resume will be reviewed by an HR staffing representative. If you meet the minimum requirements for the position you've applied for, your application/resume will be sent to a hiring manager for further review and consideration.
  • You will be called in for an interview by the hiring manager if you are among the best qualified for the position.
  • You will receive email updates from Yale as you move along in the process.
