Business Applications


Business ApplicationseBusiness is a set of applications, which store the university's information. The system is comprised of modules such as Purchasing/Accounts Payable, Human Resources/Payroll, Labor Distribution and the Journal Staging Area. Users enter data into these modules, which require training. Information from these applications are then loaded into the Oracle Grants Management, General Ledger and Data Warehouse Oracle databases.

Users are trained to extract information from the Data Warehouse with the use of the university's reporting tools. Other Oracle databases on campus contain student information (Banner, GSPS), medical school clinical information (BMS) and development data (Bert).

Web-based Applications

  • Accounts Payable (AP) Worklist Processing invoices just got a whole lot easier with the AP Worklist. This application is used for processing invoices that go on hold at Yale. The AP Worklist allows users to takes steps necessary to process invoices for payment. This tool dramatically reduces the invoice approval/payment time, resulting in savings for the University.
  • Express Shipping Jump on board with Procurement's Express Shipping Solution with eShipGlobal, a quick and simple online tool for creating and tracking air bills. eShipGlobal’s online software validates Yale’s VIP charging instructions or PTAEO when an air bill is created, dramatically reducing University-wide invoice errors.
  • SciQuest eProcurement
    On-line Training      In-Class Training
    A quick and easy electronic requisitioning tool for creating and approving purchase requisitions. This solution provides direct access to many online catalogs and special discounts with Yale's preferred vendors.
  • Orbitz For Business Travel Clinic Orbitz for Business is Yale's preferred way to purchase, air, hotel and car rental reservations online.
