Is my definition the same for my position in other schools across Yale?

Generally, yes.  We have worked hard to ensure that there is consistency across all schools and departments at Yale University but there can be variation in the level of responsibility given to some employees in a job title. 

Does the fact that my position has been defined from non overtime-eligible to salaried overtime-eligible mean that I am demoted?

Absolutely not.  The value that Yale University has placed on you and your position has not changed in any way. This includes your grade, title and salary.  Your job and its duties will remain the same.

Will my job duties change as a result of my new definition?

Your job duties will not change as a result of becoming overtime eligible, but your job duties may be changed for other reasons in the future.
