W-4 Exemption Resets
Pursuant to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) regulations, all students and employees who claimed exemption from federal and/or state income tax withholding on Form W-4 and or Form CT-W4 during calendar year 2006 must submit a new Form W-4 and/or Form CT-W4 by February 16, 2007 to continue to claim the exemption(s) for the calendar year 2007. Reminder emails and/or letters have been sent in January 2007 to those currently claiming this exemption.
Electronic forms are located online at http://www.yale.edu/ppdev/forms (click on the Payroll link in the Finance section).
Reminder: 2006 Form W-2’s are available online for all W-2 recipients with active Yale assignments, and will continue to be available throughout the year for reprints as needed. Website URL: http://www.yale.edu/w2.
While use of the self-service application is strongly encouraged, the Web W-2 service is not mandatory. You will not be required to use the web application to receive your Form W-2. Therefore, you should be receiving your paper Form W-2, unless you specifically consented to receive your Form W-2 electronically from the website. Any questions please call Payroll at 432-8759 or e-mail at email@example.com.
Not every employee has access to a computer or printer. Therefore, the Payroll Department has a computer and printer set up to access and print Form W-2's. If you already have your NetID and pin number, you can use this computer located at the Payroll Office in Room 100 of 155 Whitney Avenue.
Thanks to those of you who have already been using this online service – we hope you find it useful and convenient.
Forms 1042-S for the calendar year 2006 will be distributed by March 15, 2007.
