702 Immediate Discipline

Certain serious incidents of misconduct in connection with work, or the workplace, or gross performance problems may warrant immediate suspension and/or termination. Prior to any such suspension or termination, the Director of Personnel Services or t he Director of Human Resources for the School of Medicine should be consulted, and a meeting should be held between the employee and the supervisor or other appropriate University official to discuss the reasons for the intended disciplinary action and provide the employee an opportunity to respond to specifics. The employee will be given written notice of the date of the suspension or termination.
