From the President

Welcome to Hanppuri, the Korean international student society at Yale.

Since its inception, Hanppuri has worked to promote the welfare of Korean nationals on campus, increase college-wide awareness of current issues involving Korea, and act as a constant academic liaison and between Yale University and Korea. The administrative, academic, and social functions of Hanppuri are devoted to make Yale University an open ground for meeting the challenges of inter-cultural understanding with its focus on learning. Scholars and students, Koreans and non-Koreans alike are encouraged to attend events that range from academic panel discussions to informal get-togethers.

Recently, we have experienced a surge of growth in membership, and along with this expansion, our goals, too, are expanding. Hanppuri seeks to attract broader audiences, and host an increasing number of events that concern everyone with an interest in Korea.
