Megan Lindsay

Megan Lindsay is a fourth-year graduate student studying colonial American history. She will be spending the 2008-2009 academic year researching in English archives. Her dissertation, "Leisler's Rebellion: Anglo-Dutch Imperial Politics in Seventeenth-Century New York" focuses on how Dutch politics changed as a result of the English conquest of New York, and places these local events in an Atlantic context. Her research has received support from the Institute of Historical Research Mellon Fellowship, the Fox International Fellowship Program, the Beinecke Library, and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Her advisor is Steve Pincus.
