Professor Demos received his MA from UC Berkeley in 1961 and has since published and taught with great energy. Among his publications are A Little Commonwealth: Family Life in Plymouth Colony (1970); Entertaining Satan: Witchcraft and the Culture of Early New England (1982); Past, Present, and Personal: The Family and the Life Course (1986); and The Unredeemed Captive: A Family Story from Early America (1994).
His graduate courses include readings and research seminars on early American history, on family history, and on historical narrative.
